Why aren't Raposa ears bigger in sprites?

Why are the ears smaller in sprites than in artwork? It's not like there is no room for them in the sprite making software. And it wouldn't explain why they are the same size in the Wii version! Does anyone else wonder this? Jowee

I actually consider the sprites to be more official than the box-art. :P

The box art didn't give him pants, so...

I have a theory... (or rather a hypothesis)

At the very beginning, all raposa had those ears. But later on, they evolved to have larger ears. Not only that, but female raposa tend to have longer ears while males have shorter ones. Another thing I noticed is that raposa (like humans) have attached or detached ears. It seems that all females have detached ears, and males have attached ones (All males have attached ones in their sprites, while the only male with attached ears in any art was Mayor).

Oh wait... none of this explains anything does it?... XD

That's actually a pretty solid explanation.

The ears on males also blend in with the fur more, and are always the same color as the fur. But on the females, it's always orange. So, do all Raposa females have orange fur but actual hair that the males lack?

I don't know if I did a good job explaining that or not. xD

I think you did a great job of explaining that. :)

Personally, I think that all raposa have fur all over their body. I also think all raposa can have hair as well. Females have hair on their head, while some males have hair on their face. Or maybe their facial hair is actually fur? I'm not sure anymore. XD

I sort of understand what you mean, but you made me think that they drew the sprites first and then changed them later... But that doesn't explain... Jowee WiiTHIS!!!

Well, facial hair would be hair instead of fur. So, good point. :o

You just don't see it anywhere else. (I'm not counting Watersong villagers; I'm pretty sure those are wigs.)

I think they have fur all over their bodies, too. (Galactic Jungle villagers kinda prove that..? ) Just that it varies with colors between male and females.

The Wii version wasn't made by 5thCell though, so maybe they just didn't know? :o

Hmmm..... the only thing I can say about that is that they were based off their original sprites. Other then that, I got nothing... :(

Now while we are on the topic of the Wii version of TNC, I must ask something. WHY DO THEY WOBBLE WHEN THEY WALK?!? IT'S JUST WEIRD!! *calms down* ...So sorry! I got carried away...

Manere (Talk)

I'm not sure! It's really... Awkward.

They luk 2 much like cats! Not happy with sprits!

In sprites, they look more like fennec foxes, the literal 'raposa' I think I prefer the sprites to the art work... And Wilfre's ears are short in his artwork...

It's because the sprite artist team, Sherman 3d (aka Chow Chern Fai) and the concept artist Edison Yan worked separately, and when a design change was made by the artist, it's easier to edit the concept art, box art, etc, than the sprites.

I haven't actually seen any official artwork of Wilfre except the TNC boxart... and I don't like that at all... (it's just... no...)
