I hope so.
It is possible sense 505 games bought the rights to the siries, so I think they would want to do more than waste money and make ports.
I wouldn't think so, because 505 Games mainly just publishes games, not develops them. But I checked Wikipedia and it has this sentence about 505's current plans:
"In January 2016, 505 Games announced that they will shift their focus from publishing games for other developers to developing their own intellectual properties."
I would interpret that to mean, that 505 Games isn't going to work on Drawn to Life, but their own new idea.
Even if they don't make a third game, they get a LOT of money from what they've done so far.
With the franchise 505 Games have made a very clever move of porting the games to iphone. This will bring the cash in.
Not to mention they now get the sales of the Drawn to life games. Anytime Drawn to life is bought in a game store 505 Games get a lot of the profit.
It is not a waste of money if they don't make any games, the decision to buy it was more for sales.
But yes it is still possible. Or at least more likely that there will be a game since 505 Games bought the series.
You know those apps where you build towns and collect characters? How about a Drawn to life version!!! Drawn to Life: My village! And you draw the buildings and scenery!
I have a feeling that that could go horribly, horribly wrong and end up with a terrible game based on microtransactions.
Ah, micro-transactions would be horrible.
But as a games publisher, it'd be more up to 5thCell to create the game rather than 505.
The Drawn to Life series was successful for 5thCell, but they also gave it a very solid ending.
Also, they're currently working on "Anchors in the Drift" which is scheduled for summer this year. Because of that, I doubt they have to time to focus on another game for awhile.
5th Cell are the developers, not the pubslishers.
Sorry if that sentence wasn't clear. I was initially talking about 505Games and how it would be up to 5thCell to do anything more with the franchise as far as games go.
I'd like to add that DTL's 10 year annaversary is next year, so cross your fingers that maybe they'll make a game for it?
(I'm talking out of pure hope here)
i hope there will be! im actually writing a story for what happend after mike "woke up". yet i dont know how im gonna get it to Jeremiah Slaczka when i finish.
That's cool! :D
That's awesome! How far are you into the story?
Not that far. I'm just geting to the part where you create a new hero.
